The customer required a battery-powered smart padlock that can be controlled remotely while continuously reporting device status and location.

We developed an IoT padlock based on the Nordic nRF916 platform with LTE communications and GPS tracking.

The lock can be activated/deactivated from a desktop or mobile app, or locally via a numpad code, with regular status/location updates sent over cellular.

Key hardware building blocks include flash memory, GSM/LTE antenna, eSIM module, GPS antenna, and a current sensor for monitoring/management.
