LoRa Precision Temperature Sensor

A PT1000 temperature-measurement platform with local storage, LoRaWAN communication and RS485 for wired integration.

Overview

This battery-powered temperature-measurement platform combines a PT1000 measurement circuit with local memory and wireless data transmission. Measurements can be stored in flash and communicated through the LoRa/LoRaWAN subsystem.

Challenge

Integrate temperature measurement, local data retention and remote communication on a compact board. The design also needs a wired interface for installations that require an alternative connection to the surrounding equipment.

What We Did

HTS developed the measurement and communication electronics around a PT1000 sensing circuit and RAK3172 LoRa module. The board brings together the measurement controller, flash memory, RS485 driver, opto-relay and battery-powered architecture.

Result

The resulting platform brings PT1000 measurement, local storage and both wired and wireless communication into one board. It supports temperature-monitoring applications that need measurements to be available beyond the sensing point.
