Location reporting + voice calls
A wearable platform combining BLE, LTE and GNSS for location reporting and voice calls, supported by a mobile application and cloud services.
Smart Band is a connected wearable that combines Bluetooth/BLE, LTE and satellite positioning. It can report its location and support voice calls, with a mobile application and cloud services forming the remote software layer.
The design includes a compact wearable assembly, embedded electronics and a USB 2.0 interface.

Bring short-range communication, cellular connectivity, positioning and calling into a wearable form factor. The hardware, firmware and remote software need to work together around the device’s size and battery constraints.
HTS’s project scope covered hardware and PCB design, embedded firmware, prototyping, and the supporting mobile and server software. The work connected the wearable electronics to the location and communication functions presented to users.
| Layer | Function |
|---|---|
| Wearable electronics | Integrate processing, wireless interfaces and battery-powered operation. |
| BLE connection | Support communication with nearby compatible devices. |
| LTE and GNSS | Provide cellular communication and location information. |
| Mobile application and cloud | Form the remote interaction and data layer. |
| Parameter | Specification |
