Remote access + local keypad
A battery-powered padlock with remote access, GPS location reporting, LTE/eSIM connectivity and a local keypad.
The Smart Padlock combines remote access, location reporting and a local keypad in a battery-powered device. Users can operate it through desktop or mobile software, or enter an access code directly on the lock.
LTE connectivity and an eSIM provide the cellular connection. GPS supplies location information, while the electronics also include flash memory and current monitoring.

Combine local and remote lock operation with cellular status reporting in a compact battery-powered design. The embedded system needs to connect access commands, device state and location information across its physical and remote interfaces.
HTS developed the hardware, embedded firmware, and mobile/cloud integration for the connected padlock. The scope brought together access control, cellular communication, positioning, local interfaces and device monitoring.
